This basket is the result of a collaboration between TAV College, Collège Décarie, and Improove. Together, we offer students access to fresh, local, and upcycled fruits and vegetables, contributing to the fight against food waste and strengthening solidarity within the community.
The Anti-Waste Basket includes:
Around 7 to 8 kg of fresh fruits and vegetables
100% rescued from food waste
Up to 60% cheaper than grocery stores
A local selection of surplus products, often organic or from sustainable farms
Every basket supports our mission against food waste and food insecurity
Example of contents (depending on the season):
The Anti-Waste Basket may include: 2 onions, 1 cucumber, 3 tomatoes, 2 sweet potatoes, 1 cauliflower, 2 bell peppers, 4 carrots, 1 lettuce, 2 pears, 1 bag of grapes, and 4 apples.
We are happy with the quantity/price ratio. And we are happy to contribute to anti-waste and to be useful to society by offering a basket to food banks.
